Maruti Suzuki seems to be stepping up its game in safety, as yet another one of its models, the Invicto, has now received a 5-star crash test safety rating from Bharat NCAP. The MPV earned 30.43 points out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 points out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection. The tested variants include the Alpha+ 7-seater and Zeta+ 8-seater trims. The announcement follows the recent 5-star rating of the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, highlighting a positive shift in the brand's approach to safety. For a brand that has long dominated Indian roads but faced criticism for basic safety standards, the rising number of good safety ratings marks a turning point.
In the adult occupant protection assessment, the car achieved an overall score of 30.43 out of 32.00. Breaking down the results by test, the vehicle scored 14.43 out of 16.00 in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, indicating good overall protection with some minor areas for improvement.

The head, chest, and lower legs experienced adequate protection, while the rest of the parts showed good protection. However, the MPV scored a perfect 16.00 out of 16.00 in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, reflecting excellent side impact protection. The Side Pole Impact Test demonstrated that the vehicle offers good safety performance.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto achieved an overall safety score of 45.00 out of 49.00 in Child Occupant Protection. The 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies were placed in rearward-facing child seats, firmly secured using ISOFIX mounts along with a support leg. They earned perfect marks in frontal and side crash tests.
The MPV achieved a perfect dynamic score of 24 points (out of a maximum 24.00), alongside full marks in the Child Restraint System (CRS) installation category with 12 points. However, the vehicle assessment score stood at 9.00 out of 13.
The Invicto offers a comprehensive suite of safety features, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, six standard airbags, a 360-degree surround-view camera, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) paired with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) equipped with Auto Hold functionality, and 3-point ELR Seatbelts.
