Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Maruti Suzuki will finally launch the Invicto MPV tomorrow in the country. Ahead of the launch, the Japanese carmaker has begun taking pre-orders for the upcoming three-row premium MPV at Rs 25,000. It is another product of the partnership between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota and will be based on the Innova Hycross. Multiple exterior and interior images of the soon-to-released model recently leaked online, revealing the differences that the MPV will have from its Japanese counterpart. According to the most recent spy shots, the upcoming car will feature a new grille with two chrome slats, a reworked front bumper, adjusted headlights, and more. Inside, the MPV will sport a different paint job from the Innova Hycross. Keeping aside the minor external and internal tweaks, the MPV will look similar to its Japanese twin. Here's a brief list of features that the new Invicto MPV, is anticipated to come equipped with.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Powertrain

Mechanically, the soon-to-launch MPV is likely to offer the same engines as the Innova Hycross. Several market speculations have reported that the strong-hybrid drivetrain of the Hycross, which makes use of a brand-new 2-litre petrol engine not previously found in the Maruti Suzuki range, is also anticipated for the Invicto. With an e-CVT automatic transmission, this Toyota petrol-hybrid offers a total output of 183bhp and 206Nm.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Exterior & Interior

Speaking of the design, the upcoming model will look a lot like the Toyota Innova Hycross, except for a few changes, which include a front bumper with two horizontal chrome slats, trimmer LED DRLs, a twin-slat grille with chrome surround, tweaked headlights, etc. In terms of the interior, there are no significant updates besides an upholstery. The MPV gets a different dark tone instead of Hycross's brown upholstery.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Features

The all-new MPV will reportedly sport a range of features, many of which are firsts for the brand. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone air conditioning, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats are just a few amenities that the upcoming model is expected to come equipped with. As far as safety is concerned, the MPV is likely to offer six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Expected Price

Concerning the MPV, Maruti Suzuki has not yet made any official announcements. Industry rumours, however, suggest that the Japanese corporation will only offer the Innova Hycross-based MPV in one fully loaded trim known as the Alpha+.  According to market estimations, the MPV is expected to cost more than Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
