The local assembly has given Mercedes-Benz India an advantage in pricing the Mercedes-AMG A35. Also, the A-Class Limousine petrol and diesel variants come at a price at par with the segment.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine has been launched in India for Rs 39.90 lakh - for the petrol A 200 model. The diesel A-Class Limousine A 200d has been priced at Rs 40.90 lakh. And the top of the line Mercedes-AMG A35 has been priced at Rs 56.24 lakh. All the aforementioned prices are introductory ex-showroom and are valid till June 30, 2021.

Speaking of the sportier Mercedes-AMG A35 first, the sport sedan has a 0-100km/hr time of 4.8seconds (claimed). That’s possible by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine under the bonnet that pushes out 301bhp and 400Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox coupled with Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system

Inside, the A35 gets a flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, sporty seats in the front row and a Burmester surround sound system over the standard A-Class Limousine.

The standard A-Class Limousine A 200, gets a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine that puts out 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. The gearbox on offer is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. The diesel A-Class Limousine A 200d, on the flip side, gets a larger 2.0-litre engine that churns out 147bhp and 320Nm of torque. The power is forwarded to the front wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine has been styled adhering to the manufacturer’s family design that we see on other models in the international markets. With all-LED lighting, the A-Class Limousine gets a fascia that’s more elegant than the cars in its segment. The feature list includes two 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard equipped with Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) along with Mercedes Me Connect for smartphone connectivity., panoramic sunroof, memory seats and wireless charging.
