Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that prices for the much-awaited CLA Electric will be announced on April 24, 2026. The four-door coupe, which was previewed as a concept in September 2023, will have two variants (CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’ and the CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’). Bookings for both models are currently underway for a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh, and early customers are eligible for a complimentary wall-box charger. Mercedes-Benz has announced that deliveries for the CLA 250+ are scheduled to begin by the end of April 2026, while the CLA 200 Standard Range will start getting dispatched to customers from June onwards.
In India, the CLA Electric will compete against popular models like the Volvo C40 Recharge, BYD Seal, and Hyundai Ioniq 5, while serving as an EV option to petrol luxury sedans such as the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and the Audi A4.

The CLA 250+ Electric has an 85.5kWh lithium-ion battery coupled with an 800V architecture, which produces 268bhp of maximum power. It can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds and offers a range of up to 792 kilometres. The model also features a two-speed transmission and supports DC charging at up to 240kW, enabling it to add around 400km of range in just 20 minutes under ideal conditions. Meanwhile, the CLA 200 Standard Range has the same 800V setup, but it delivers a lower range of 542 kilometres. With a 240kW DC fast charger, it can recover approximately 320km of range in about 20 minutes.

The India-spec Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric 250+ offers a wide spectrum of modern features. These include a bigger 14-inch central touchscreen powered by the brand’s new MB.OS platform, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, as well as an AI-driven MBUX Virtual Assistant with support for ChatGPT and Google Gemini, along with 3D Surround Navigation.
