The German marque will introduce the VLE in multiple variants with different power outputs and battery types. The first version to go on sale will be the VLE 300 electric. It will be followed by the VLE 400 4MATIC electric. Both of these models will use a 115kWh NMC battery. Mercedes will also launch two new variants with LFP batteries (80kWh) in the next year. As for the output, the VLE 300 electric produces 272bhp of power and has a range of over 700 kilometres. On the other hand, the more performance-focused VLE 400 4MATIC electric will churn out a maximum power of over 403bhp. It will have a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds.

The Mercedes-Benz VLE features an 800-volt electrical system. It can gain up to 355 kilometres of range in 15 minutes using 300 kW DC fast charging. The van also supports 400-volt charging through an optional converter and offers bidirectional charging, and integrates charging-station reservations through MB.CHARGE Public.
The VLE comes with AIRMATIC air suspension, which can raise or lower the vehicle by up to 40mm. It also features rear-wheel steering (with up to 7 degrees of turning capability for rear wheels). With this system, the VLE boasts a turning circle of 10.9 metres, which is similar to the much smaller Mercedes-Benz CLA sedan.

Inside, the electrified VLE gets an MBUX Superscreen dashboard, comprising a 10.25-inch driver’s display, 14-inch touchscreen, and 14-inch passenger screen. The most notable highlight is the large 31.3-inch display with 8K resolution, which can fold up into the headliner.

Mercedes-Benz has maximally focused on flexibility in the VLE. Buyers can choose from different rear seat options, including premium versions with added comfort features like massage and calf support. The seats can be moved, folded, or removed with ease using the Roll & Go system, making it simple to switch between passenger and cargo space. The van also allows remote seat adjustments through the infotainment system or the Mercedes-Benz app.

The VLE electric van looks striking and borrows a range of elements from the 2025 Vision V Concept. Key highlights include a large grille that may feature an illuminated surround, based on the chosen trim, electric sliding doors, a full-width inverted U-shaped light bar, headlamps linked by a slender light bar, and a separately opening rear glass. The van can be configured with either a bonnet-mounted three-pointed star or a badge placed at the centre of the grille. The design features may vary depending on the selected trim.
