Mercedes GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line Launched in India at Rs 97.85 Lakh
Under the hood, a 2.0-litre diesel engine with Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology powers the GLE 300d 4MATIC. It is mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.

With the launch of the 2024 GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line, Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its SUV lineup. Carrying a base price tag of Rs 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom), it replaces the 300d entry-level diesel variant. The new variant boasts several performance and design enhancements, with an emphasis on a sporty appearance and improved driving dynamics.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line: Aesthetic Updates
The AMG body design, which comprises a single louvre in dark grey matte with chrome elements and a diamond grille embossed with the Mercedes-Benz star, visually sets the GLE 300d AMG Line apart. These components enhance the SUV's general design language and reflect the premium German carmaker's "Sensual Clarity" design philosophy, which combines sportiness, elegance, and power. The new SUV sports a range of Mercedes-AMG model-inspired design touches, such as 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, painted in tremolite grey with a high-sheen finish and an upgraded braking system that complements the car's overall sporty character. Other design features come in the form of an AMG rear apron with diffuser-look inserts in black and trim strip in chrome, air outlets on the rear wings, front and rear wing flares painted in the vehicle colour, AMG front apron with chrome trim strip, and sporty and distinctive air inlets at the front.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line: Powertrain Details
Under the hood, a cutting-edge 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 48V mild-hybrid Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology powers the GLE 300d 4MATIC. It is mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. This combo seeks to provide a smooth and efficient driving experience. The 1,993cc, four-cylinder unit puts out 265bhp (additional 20bhp with ISG) and 550Nm of torque. The vehicle can go from 0 to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 230km/h.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line: Interior Features
Updates to the cabin include the most recent version of the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system. The system boasts enhanced digital features that enable better control over the vehicle and comfort functions via the SUV's LCD screens. In addition, the car has a Burmester surround sound system with 13 speakers and a 590-watt system output, designed to produce high-quality audio.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE: Price and Rivals
The current price range of the GLE starts at Rs 97.85 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.15 crore. Both prices are ex-showroom. It locks horns with the likes of the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, and Lexus RX.
