MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition Teaser

MG has teased the blacked-out Comet EV, dubbed the Blackstorm, for the first time. While the launch date remains unconfirmed, this variant is expected to be significantly more expensive than the standard Comet EV, which starts at Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). True to its name, the model embraces a bold and fierce look with an all-black exterior, highlighted by striking red accents on the Morris Garages badging and lower bumper. The wheels are also draped in black covers, featuring a red star-shaped pattern. The rear design of this blacked-out variant remains under wraps for now. However, based on the overall theme, we expect the red and black contrast to carry through to the back. That said, the core design elements of the car are likely to remain unchanged.

MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition: Interior

Although the latest teaser doesn't show the interior details of the Comet EV Blackstorm, we expect it to feature a blacked-out theme, typical of the Blackstorm Edition. The dashboard layout is likely to stay the same, with some premium upgrades to elevate the cabin's style.

MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition: Powertrain

The Comet EV Blackstorm will have the same powertrain as the standard model, which is a 17.3kWh battery pack paired with a rear-axle mounted (RWD) electric motor that generates a maximum power of 41bhp and a peak torque of 110Nm. The ARAI-claimed range is up to 230 kilometres.

MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition: Features

MG hasn't announced tech upgrades for the blacked-out Comet EV, but it's expected to carry over features from the standard model. These may include manual AC, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity, keyless entry, two speakers, and electrically foldable ORVMs.
