MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 13.63 lakh

On the occasion of the Hector's first anniversary, MG Motor India has launched the Special Anniversary Edition variant of the SUV. It's based on the Super trim of the Hector and is available in both petrol and diesel versions. 

MG Motor India has launched the Hector Special Anniversary Edition in India. As the name suggests, this is a limited-edition version that marks Hector’s first anniversary in our market. The Hector Special Anniversary Edition is available in both petrol and diesel versions and is based on the Super trim of the SUV. The prices of the Special Anniversary Edition are unchanged from the regular versions, meaning the petrol variant is priced at Rs 13.63 lakh and the diesel at Rs 14.99 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).

The exterior and interior design of the Hector is unchanged in the Anniversary Edition, but it gets a couple of additional features. These include wireless smartphone charging, an air purifier, and a Med-klinn in-car cabin sterilisation technology. The rest of the features and equipment are identical to the Super variant of the vehicle.

Powertrain options are also unchanged, meaning the Special Anniversary Edition will come with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that’s rated at 141bhp and develops 250Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre diesel unit that develops 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. Both the engines are BS6-compliant and come mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

MG Motor India recently added the Hector Plus, a six-seater version of the Hector, in the Indian market, and the company is now prepping the stage for the launch of its full-sized Gloster SUV in the coming months.
