The MG Windsor EV, which went on sale in India last year, has recorded a notable sales milestone of 50,000 units and is now the fastest-selling EV in the country. The MG car recently marked its first anniversary with a limited-run Windsor Inspire Edition. It is also offered in a new top-spec variant, the Windsor Pro, featuring a larger 52.9kWh battery, which was not available at the time of launch.
The Windsor EV is offered in multiple trims with flexible pricing options, including the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan. The base Excite variant costs Rs 10 lakh plus Rs 3.9 per km with BaaS, or Rs 14 lakh without it. Meanwhile, the Essence Pro is available at Rs 13.39 lakh plus Rs 4.5 per km with BaaS, and Rs 18.39 lakh without the plan.
The standard Windsor EV comes with a 38kWh battery, and a range of 332 kilometres (MIDC Part 1+2). On the other hand, the Windsor EV Pro features a larger 52.9kWh battery while maintaining the same power and torque figures as the standard model (134bhp and 200Nm). However, it offers an extended range of 449 kilometres. Both variants are equipped with a single electric motor.
