JSW MG Motor India has slashed the prices of its first electric car in India, the MG ZS EV, by a whopping Rs 4.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The move is part of the brand’s 6th anniversary celebrations, and is for a limited-time frame. The highest price cut is seen on the top-spec Essence variant, while the base Executive trim receives a smaller reduction. The MG ZS EV lineup has seen a significant price revision across all variants. The entry-level Executive variant is now priced at Rs 16.75 lakh, showing a slight reduction of Rs 13,000. The Excite Pro has also become more affordable, with a price cut of Rs 48,000, bringing it down to Rs 18.50 lakh. The Exclusive Plus gets a hefty Rs 4.15 lakh drop, and is now available for Rs 19.50 lakh, which makes it a more attractive mid-spec option. However, the most substantial price cut applies to the top-spec Essence variant, which now costs Rs 20.50 lakh, down by a massive Rs 4.44 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
MG’s electric SUV has a 50.3kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a single electric motor that delivers 174bhp of maximum power and 280Nm and a peak torque. Using a 7.4 kW AC charger, the battery can be charged from empty to full in roughly 9 hours.

For quicker top-ups, a 50 kW DC fast charger can charge it from 0 to 80% in just about 60 minutes. As per ARAI certification, the SUV offers a range of up to 461 kilometres on a single charge.
The SUV comes loaded with a range of advanced features, such as a fully digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch LCD display and a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also offers automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, the MG car has a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill descent control, and six airbags.
