Audi has unveiled the new AUDI E SUV concept at the Guangzhou Auto Show. This is the second model from the AUDI sub-brand made for China. The concept previews the upcoming AUDI E8 SUV that will enter production in early 2026. Audi is expanding its electric vehicle plans in China with support from its partnerships with FAW and SAIC.
The company introduced five models in China in the second half of 2025 and plans more launches in 2026. The AUDI sub-brand has also seen strong demand, with the E5 Sportback crossing 10,000 preorders within thirty minutes of its reveal. The new concept shows Audi’s plan to grow its EV line-up while it continues selling combustion vehicles during the shift to electric mobility.

The AUDI E SUV concept follows the same design theme as the E5 Sportback, using wraparound lights, flush door handles, and cameras instead of mirrors. It also gets wide fenders, a large front logo, and a fin-style C-pillar. The SUV measures 5,057mm in length, 2,042mm in width, and 1,786mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 3,060mm. Audi positions it among premium SUVs in China with a focus on space and flexibility.

Power comes from a dual-motor setup that makes 671bhp and works with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. The concept can go from 0 to 100km/h in around five seconds. A 109kWh battery with an 800-volt system delivers a claimed range of more than 700km on the CLTC cycle. A ten-minute stop at a high-power DC charger can recover about 320km of driving range.

The concept also uses the AUDI 360 Driving Assist System, which is tuned for Chinese road conditions. It supports highway driving, city driving and assisted parking. Inside, the layout is expected to follow the E5 Sportback design with a 27-inch 4K display across the dashboard. Digital rear-view cameras and a lidar unit above the windscreen support safety and driver-assist functions.
