Audi has revealed the new Q5 range with updated plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants for the third-generation Q5 SUV and Q5 Sportback. These models come equipped with a 25.9 kWh battery and an electric motor paired with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The system delivers either 295bhp or 362bhp, depending on the variant. Both versions feature Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive and offer an electric-only driving range of up to 100 km. The 295bhp version accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6.2 seconds, while the 362bhp model does it in 5.1 seconds.

The 2025 Audi Q5 plug-in hybrid models support two driving modes: EV and Hybrid. EV mode runs on electric power alone, while Hybrid mode manages the petrol and electric systems to maintain a set battery charge level.
The new Audi Q5 SUV features a bold, athletic design with a high shoulder line running from the front to the rear lights. This line gives the SUV a longer, stronger look, while a rising contour above the sill adds to its dynamic appeal. The Q5 Sportback variant builds on this by offering a coupe-style roofline that adds sportiness without affecting everyday usability.
At the back, the Q5 adopts a clean and modern look. The rear window flows into a full-width light strip, giving the SUV a unique visual signature. The space between the light bar and bumper is kept smooth, while the diffuser is built into the raised bumper. Both versions feature visible tailpipes, but the high-performance SQ5 stands out with a new, sharper quad-tailpipe design.
The Q5 Sportback’s sloping roofline improves aerodynamics while keeping interior space intact. With sharp lines and defined surfaces, the new Q5 range combines Audi’s signature precision with a fresh, performance-inspired look.
The new Audi Q5 features a refined interior with a wide, horizontal dashboard that adds a sense of space and modernity. Crafted with premium materials, the dash flows into the doors in a wing-like design and houses sleek air vents. This setup forms the base for Audi’s “Digital Stage,” powered by the E³ 1.2 digital architecture. This advanced platform ensures seamless connectivity, user-friendly controls, and a premium digital experience for both driver and passengers.
At the centre of the Digital Stage is an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI OLED touchscreen. On higher Prestige trims, Audi offers a 10.9-inch MMI Passenger Display featuring Dynamic Privacy Mode, which prevents driver distraction by hiding dynamic content. This passenger screen supports navigation, parking assistance, and media control, adding practical value to the premium SUV cabin experience.
The Audi SQ5 trim enhances luxury with diamond-stitched seats, leather-Dinamica upholstery, and elegant finishes. All Q5 models include acoustic windshields, while Prestige trims gain acoustic side windows. These upgrades, paired with advanced tech, reinforce the Audi Q5’s position as a premium midsize SUV offering luxury, comfort, and digital innovation.
