Maruti Suzuki will introduce its much-anticipated SUV from Arena's stable tomorrow, September 3. For now, there is no confirmation, but the upcoming model is likely to go by names like Victor, Victorious, or Victus, and borrow its powertrain options from the Grand Vitara. It will be Maruti's new contender against the popular Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment. The Maruti Suzuki Arena SUV will be positioned between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara, and is expected to have a starting price of around Rs 10 lakh. Here’s a look at the features that the new SUV from Maruti Suzuki is likely to offer.
Maruti Suzuki has not revealed details on the powertrain. Industry reports, however, suggest that the Arena SUV will share its powertrain lineup with the Grand Vitara, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit with 103bhp and 137Nm, and a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, as well as, a 1.5-litre strong hybrid system (which combines an Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an electric motor). This strong hybrid system produces 116bhp and 141Nm mated exclusively to an e-CVT.

Maruti Suzuki is also expected to offer a factory-fitted CNG variant at a later stage.
Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming mid-size SUV will likely have a profile and silhouette similar to that of the premium Vitara, albeit with a few notable changes. For instance, spy shots suggest that the SUV has reduced body cladding, and a more assertive stance. Its look is clean, and alloy wheels have a new design.
Inside, the upcoming C-segment SUV is expected to sport a new dashboard layout as well as a larger, floating-style touchscreen infotainment unit. It could also get a fully digital instrument cluster, an Arkamys-tuned premium audio, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
