Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has officially commenced the production of the Skoda Kushaq facelift from its Chakan plant in Pune. With the official launch window in March, this premium compact SUV is poised to be Skoda’s most significant release of the year. Having made its global debut in January, the model has transitioned into local production ahead of its highly anticipated arrival in the Indian market. Pre-bookings for the new Kushaq are now open via the brand’s official website and authorised showrooms, with early consumer interest suggesting a strong demand for the 2026 model.

The SUV will be available in five distinct variants: Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and the range-topping Monte Carlo.
The 2026 Skoda Kushaq design receives several sophisticated aesthetic tweaks to maintain its competitive edge. The front fascia now features a redesigned signature grille complemented by an integrated LED light band and sharpened LED headlamps.

At the rear, the SUV gains connected LED tail lamps and illuminated Skoda branding on the tailgate, providing a more premium road presence. Additional updates include fresh alloy wheel designs across various trims. While the iconic silhouette remains, these refinements ensure the Kushaq feels like a modern, clean refresh rather than a simple carry-over.
The new Skoda Kushaq interior is packed with high-end, comfort-focused kit. A standout addition is the panoramic sunroof, a feature frequently requested by Indian buyers. For the first time in this segment, Skoda has introduced a rear-seat massage function, elevating the passenger experience.

The updated dashboard houses a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with seamless navigation and media connectivity. Familiar luxuries such as ventilated front seats and automatic climate control remain, ensuring the SUV remains a top choice for those seeking a feature-rich cabin.
The Kushaq facelift retains its five-star Global NCAP safety rating, offering up to 40 active and passive safety features. Six airbags are now standard across the entire range, alongside electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, and parking sensors.
Under the bonnet, the entry-level 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder petrol engine is now paired with a new eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the previous six-speed unit.

For enthusiasts, the 1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder engine continues to offer segment-leading performance, mated to the lightning-fast seven-speed DSG (dual-clutch) transmission. Built on the localised MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kushaq balances global engineering with Indian driving conditions.

While official Skoda Kushaq 2026 prices will be announced closer to the March delivery date, the SUV is expected to remain a value-driven yet premium contender in the C-SUV segment.
