Order books are now open for the next-gen Hyundai Verna at Rs 25,000.

Hyundai will be launching the next-gen Verna in India on August 22, 2017. Bookings of the all-new sedan have commenced from today at Rs 25,000 across all Hyundai dealerships in the country. The all-new Verna will be available with two engine options – 1.6 petrol and 1.6 diesel – with manual as well automatic transmission options.

The all-new Verna is the fifth-generation model of the car and has been developed from the ground up. As per Hyundai, it’s underpinned by an all-new platform called the K2.  Not only does it flaunt Hyundai’s new design language, it’s also longer, lighter and more spacious than the car it replaces. Compared to the current Verna, the new model looks much more stylish and premium – the new front-fascia and the Elantra-esque tail-lamps are definitely its stand out design elements.

Inside, the cabin layout has been revamped completely, while the new Verna will come loaded with new features and equipment. Among some of the key features, it’ll get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated front seats, etc.. Since the new Verna is 65mm longer than the current model, expect it to have a more spacious rear bench.

Powertrain options will include 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is rated at 121bhp while the diesel develops 126bhp. Both the engines can be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The all-new Hyundai Verna will be available in six trims including two automatic variants for both petrol and diesel versions. The next-gen Verna will compete with established rivals such as the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, etc.
