Nissan India has finally launched the Gravite MPV as part of its product offensive and brand resurgence strategy in the country. The introductory price of the MPV starts at Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan has also announced a Limited Launch Edition of the Gravite, with availability capped at 1,001 units. It gets a few notable cosmetic and feature upgrades.
While it shares its platform with the Renault Triber, the Gravite distinguishes itself with unique design elements, including a new grille with a hexagonal mesh. It gets C-shaped accents on both the front and rear, which add to its imposing road presence. The MPV is available in five colours, including an eye-catching Forest Green shade, inspired by the Nissan Patrol, one of the brand’s best-selling and highly celebrated models. Bookings for the MPV start tonight, and there will be an exclusive offer for the first 5,000 buyers. Eligible Customers will benefit from a special launch program featuring introductory prices and zero service costs for five years. In addition, the Nissan Loyalty Program sweetens the deal with a competitive 5.55% return on investment through Nissan Finance, alongside exclusive upgrade benefits.

While the overall silhouette is similar to that of its cousin, the Triber, the Nissan MPV gets a series of bespoke styling cues that help it carve a unique identity. These include a gloss-black grille with hexagonal inserts, reprofiled bumpers featuring C-shaped silver detailing, 15-inch stylised steel wheels, and prominent 'Gravite' lettering on both front and rear. The slender LED DRLs at the front and wraparound LED taillights both feature a connected chrome strip for a cohesive look.

The cabin looks familiar, but there are a few notable additions in the form of a new theme (dual-tone light in shade). Nissan has equipped the Gravite with a wide range of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, manual AC with rear vents, a 7-inch digital driver display for all vital information, keyless entry with push-button start, a flat-bottom steering wheel, rear armrest with cup holders, rotary climate controls, and multiple storage compartments throughout.

As for safety, the Nissan car has six airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), TPMS, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors with a camera.
Similar to the Triber, the Gravite packs a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol unit that produces 71bhp and 96Nm. Customers can opt for either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The fuel efficiency stands at 19.3km/l for the manual version and 19.6km/l for the automatic variant. Nissan has announced that it will provide a dealer-installed dual-cylinder CNG kit with the manual option soon.
