Imagine if your car could do 0-100km in just 1.73 seconds. Wishful thinking, right? Well not quite. Peugeot dared to dream and unveiled a virtual concept, Vision Gran Turismo, which according to the French manufacturer can achieve this feat. The reason why it can achieve such insane acceleration is because it is designed with a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio (875kg and 875bhp). This car is exclusively unveiled for the Gran Turismo 6 video game for Sony PlayStation 3.

Vision Gran Turismo is a typical low-slung supercar as it stands just 104cm tall with a striking monolithic silhouette, which is sculpted to sweep aside air resistance. In terms of design, a lot of elements are taken from Onyx concept like the beefy rear arches, body frame and LED headlamps. The Vision Gran Turismo has a mid-mounted V6 turbo 3.2-litre engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It uses an all-wheel-drive system and uses 22-inch alloys in front and 23-inch at the rear.

This lightweight concept gets a super-responsive steering, which makes it ideal for the gamers to take the Gran Turismo challenge. With much massive power, the concept had no choice but to use four ventilated Brembo carbon discs -- 380mm at the front and 337mm at the rear -- for safe deceleration.

Gran Turismo 6 will let gamers drive this concept in 40 different tracks. This will be a free update. There are many other car manufacturers who are involved in launching virtual concepts for GT6 like Toyota, Volkswagen and Subaru.
