Ranger Rover Sport SV

The new Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1 and PHEV variants have been added to India's Range Rover Sport range, with ex-showroom prices of Rs 2.80 crore and Rs 2.11 crore, respectively. In the Indian market, the base Range Rover Sport was available with 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol and diesel mild-hybrid engine options for more than a year. Land Rover has introduced these two new variations to provide customers with more options. The Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1 lock horns with the Lamborghini Urus, the Audi RS Q8, and the Aston Martin DBX. On the other hand, the PHEV version has no direct rival as of now. While no official announcement has been made, industry reports indicate that prospective buyers can reserve any of these models, with delivery times predicted to be between six and eight months after booking. To know more about these new variants of the Range Rover Sport, read on.

Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1, PHEV Versions: Mechanical Specifics

A 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine procured from BMW drives the Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1. This setup generates 750Nm at 1,800–5,855rpm and 626bhp at 6,000–7,000rpm. With an 8-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle claims to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and distribute power to all four wheels.  Its top speed is 290km/h. On the other hand, a 38.2kWh battery and a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine drive the Range Rover Sport PHEV. This combination yields 660Nm and 453bhp of performance figures. It asserts 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 5.5 seconds, and a maximum speed of 225km/h. The battery pack may be charged with a 7 kW AC charger in five hours. Moreover, the PHEV has an electric-only range of 123 kilometres. It is only offered on the fully loaded Autobiography model.
