Renault India has run out of slots for the Duster Hybrid, with the entire 2026 production now sold out. The company has paused bookings for the E-Tech version to keep deliveries on schedule. The strong response shows Renault is back in the game in the mid-size SUV segment, going up against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The hybrid version has clearly grabbed attention. It gets a 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery. The setup makes 160bhp and 172Nm. Renault says it can handle a large chunk of city driving in electric mode, which explains why many buyers in metro cities have gone for this version.

If you do not want to wait, the petrol versions are still open for booking. Renault is offering a 1.0-litre engine with 100PS and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol that makes 163PS and 280Nm. Deliveries for these models are expected to start from April 2026, earlier than the hybrid.

The new Duster is built on the CMF-B platform and comes with 212mm ground clearance. Inside, it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, along with features like a 360-degree camera and 17 ADAS functions. It is aimed at buyers who want a mix of features and a tough build.

Renault is also looking at adding a CNG version in the future to offer lower running costs. For now, the focus is on increasing production at the Chennai plant to meet demand. Hybrid deliveries are expected around Diwali 2026, and bookings could reopen later for the next batch.
The SUV also comes with a 7-year or 1,50,000km warranty under the Renault Forever programme.
