Renault launches a special edition of the Kwid

Christened, the ‘Live for More edition’, this special edition of the Renault Kwid has been launched to clear the MY16 stock

With the change of the calendar year, manufacturers often have some stock pending from the previous year. In a bid to clear this stock, manufacturers often give heavy discounts to buyers. Needless to say, the hit in the profit margins is borne by the manufacturer. This time round, Renault has played it smart. The French car maker has added some features, cosmetic changes, and vinyls to the Kwid lure the buyer into writing that cheque.

Renault has named this iteration of the Kwid, Live for More Edition. This iteration of the Kwid gets sporty looking red and grey stickers on the bonnet, roof and on the doors along the sides. The front grille also gets red and grey highlights. Additionally, the Kwid Live for More Edition also gets dual tone roof rails, a red rear spoiler and highlights on the wheel caps. On the inside, the steering gets contrast red stitching and the door panels have red highlights too.

The Renault Kwid Live for More Edition is available in all three versions of the car – the 800cc, the 1.0-litre and the 1.0-litre AMT. Renault is offering this special edition Kwid at no additional cost. The base variant of the Kwid with the 0.8-litre engine carries a sticker price of Rs 2.64 lakh while the top-spec Kwid with the 1.0-litre and the AMT box is priced at Rs 4.31 lakh. Renault has smartly bettered the value proposition of the Kwid with the additional features in order to continue with its impressive numbers. Further this not only help clear the stock left over from 2016, but will keep the Kwid going strong till the time the MY17 models come out.
