The L&K trim adds more features to what is already a superbly loaded car

Skoda launched the Kodiaq in India last October, but during the time it was put on sale in just the Style variant. While with the Style variant too, the Kodiaq was fully loaded in terms of features, the addition of the new Laurin and Klement variant makes it a sweeter deal. The Skoda Kodiaq L&K has been priced at Rs 35.99 lakh. The Style variant is currently priced at Rs 33.83 lakh (both prices ex-showroom pan-India)

So what do you get for the additional money you pay? While the Kodaq did come with parking sensors and a reversing camera, considering its size, a lot of buyers would need more. The L&K trim now comes with a 360-degree camera as well as an automatic park assist function. Additionally, the Kodiaq also comes with an anti-theft alarm, a speed warning signal and more. This variant of the Kodiaq will also come with an iBUZZ Fatigue Alert system which detects signs of fatigue in the driver and prompts the driver to take a break.

Further, the L&K trim also features a Virtual Cockpit – much like the new-generation Audis. The Kodiaq, however, is the first Skoda offering to flaunt it. The driver can customise the screen according to the need – from using it as a traditional speedo/tacho or even for navigation. Aside from all these new features, the L&K trim will also have all the equipment that the Style trim comes with. In terms of safety, the Kodiaq is the only car in its class to come fitted with 9 airbags.

Mechanically, the Kodiaq L&K will come with the same 2.0-litre diesel motor as the Style variant. This engine is good for 148bhp and 340Nm. Transmission duties are performed by a seven-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
