Skoda Slavia Matte Edition Launched at Rs 15.52 Lakh in India

After introducing the Kushaq Matte Edition, Skoda Auto India has now launched the Matte edition of the Slavia sedan. The Slavia Matte Edition is available with a manual (MT), an automatic (AT), as well as a dual-clutch (DSG) gearbox option. The prices for the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition MT start at Rs 15.52 lakh and go up to Rs 17.72 lakh, while the Slavia Matte Edition AT and the DSG are priced at Rs 16.72 lakh and Rs 19.12 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. For those interested, the Czech automobile manufacturer began accepting bookings for the Matte Edition earlier this month. What's more, Skoda also announced a substantial price reduction for two of its products – the Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan. As of now, the revised ex-showroom prices for the Kushaq and the Slavia are the same at Rs 10.89 lakh, which will be valid only for a limited period. Based on the fully loaded Style variant, the special edition sedan comes with cosmetic updates, commanding a premium of Rs 40,000 over the standard version.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: Exterior

In terms of design, the Slavia Matte Edition spots the Carbon Steel colour finished in Matte, while the wing mirrors, door handles, and alloy wheels are finished in gloss black. In contrast to the matte bodywork, the Slavia continues with chrome on parts like the grille, fog lamp garnish, and window surrounds.

In addition to the new shade, the Skoda Slavia sedan can also be had in Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Crystal Blue, Lava Blue, and Tornado Red colour options. For those not aware, the Slavia is the second model, after the Kushaq, in the company's line-up to get this new paint scheme.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: Interior

Inside, the Matte Edition packs a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, powered driver and co-driver seats, an illuminated footwell area, an 8-speaker sound system with a sub-woofer, automatic climate control, cruise control, etc.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: Engine and Output

The Matte Edition continues with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre inline-four-cylinder turbocharged petrol TSI Evo engine with active cylinder technology. The 1.0-litre mill is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and a 6-speed manual unit, while the 1.5-litre motor comes connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with an option of a 6-speed manual gearbox as well.
