Maruti Suzuki’s much-anticipated electric SUV, the e Vitara, is yet to arrive in India; however, its prices for the UK market have been revealed. The e Vitara starts at £29,999 (roughly Rs 35 lakh) for the base 49kWh Motion 2WD variant and tops out at £37,799 (approximately Rs 44.16 lakh) for the fully loaded 61kWh Ultra ALLGRIP-e 4WD model. The electric SUV is produced in India for export to the UK. Following its debut at the Auto Expo 2025, the SUV is expected to go on sale in the Indian market around September 2025. While official pricing for our market, we anticipate a competitive starting price of around Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom) for the upcoming Maruti Suzuki car in India, which will position it as an affordable electric option in the SUV segment. Here’s a look at the prices of the UK-spec model.
The upcoming electric SUV stands out with its contemporary design, featuring slender LED headlights, distinctive Y-shaped LED DRLs, integrated fog lamps, and silver skid plates. The side profile has 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, bold body cladding, and rear door handles cleverly integrated into the C-pillar for a clean look. The rear of the EV sports sharp LED taillights, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler, all contributing to an aerodynamic character.

The e Vitara's interior boasts elegance and advanced amenities. It has a three-tone colour scheme and a clean dashboard. In terms of tech, there is a 10.1-inch digital screen for the driver and a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen for entertainment. A new two-spoke steering, which is a first for the brand, is also included. The SUV also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and advanced connected car features.
It has seven airbags, all-disc brakes, Level-2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold for safety.
The entry-level Motion trim of the international version comes exclusively with a 49kWh battery pack. Meanwhile, the larger 61kWh unit is available with both Motion and Ultra trim levels. Notably, the larger battery version also supports Suzuki’s AllGrip-e all-wheel-drive system in select configurations. The smaller battery delivers a range of up to 346 kilometres. The larger battery pack with a single motor and two-wheel-drive setup, on the other hand, extends that figure to 428 kilometres. There’s also a dual-motor AWD version with the same battery, offering a slightly lower range of 412 kilometres.

In terms of output, the 49kWh single-motor setup produces 142bhp, while the 61kWh model delivers 172bhp. However, the torque output remains consistent at 192.5Nm. Notably, the dual-motor AWD configuration bumps up performance to 178bhp and 300Nm, making it the most powerful option in the lineup.
The SUV is reported to go on sale in India in September 2025. It will lock horns against the Tata Curvv EV, the Creta Electric, and the MG ZS EV.
