The 2025 Suzuki Fronx has scored a 5-star safety rating in the latest round of ASEAN NCAP crash tests. This comes after the SUV underwent crash testing under the Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP) earlier this year, where it scored four stars. It is worth noting that the Fronx is manufactured in India and exported to Southeast Asian markets. However, depending on the market, there are a few differences in features, powertrain, and safety. Most recently, the Fronx SUV, tested in its 1.5-litre petrol 6AT guise, attained overall scores of 36.71 for Adult Occupant Protection, 15.27 for Child Occupant Protection, 15.71 for Safety Assist, and 10 for Motorcyclist Safety. Here's a comprehensive breakdown of the results from the ASEAN NCAP crash tests.
The Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) score for the compact SUV is 29.37 points, which includes 13.74 points for the frontal impact test, 7.63 points for the side impact, and 8 points for head protection technology. The frontal offset test showed a stable cabin, offering good chest protection for both driver and passenger, although the driver’s right lower leg was only marginally protected. In the side test evaluation, the driver’s chest remained well-protected.

In the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, the Suzuki Fronx achieved a score of 38.94 out of 51 points. This includes 17.94 points for dynamic tests, 12 for vehicle-based assessments, and 9 for installation. The SUV was evaluated using 18-month-old rearward-facing and three-year-old forward-facing dummies, along with a variety of Britax Römer and Joie child restraint systems. It is to be noted that the ISOFIX and top tether anchorages are available across all models.
In the Motorcyclist Safety category, the Fronx scored 8 out of 16 points. It earned 16.50 out of 21 points in the Safety Assist, with notable marks across features, including braking and avoidance (6.00), seatbelt reminders (4.50), and AEB systems (3.00). Key safety equipment includes Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA).
