Tata Curvv Dark Edition Teaser

Tata Curvv Dark Edition Teaser

Tata Motors is set to expand its Dark Edition range in India with an all-black Curvv SUV Coupe. The company has shared a teaser for the first time, offering a glimpse of what to expect in terms of design. Like other Dark Editions in Tata's portfolio, the Curvv (available in both ICE and electric variants) will reportedly retain its existing powertrains. However, it’s important to note that whether the automaker will introduce the Dark edition of the EV alongside the ICE edition is currently unknown. Design-wise, the silhouette will remain largely unchanged, with darker elements added to give it a bolder, more aggressive appearance. Here’s a closer look at the new teaser.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: What to Expect?

While detailed specs are yet to be revealed, the Curvv Dark Edition is expected to retain its core design elements, including dual-pod LED headlights finished in gloss black and connected LED DRLs. In line with Tata’s existing Dark Edition models, it will likely feature a glossy black exterior, possibly accented with dark chrome highlights and a signature Dark badge.

The teaser doesn’t reveal the interior, but since this variant is expected to be based on the higher trims, features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering wheel, reclining rear seats, panoramic sunroof, ADAS, and a nine-speaker sound system are likely to be offered.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Powertrain

The regular ICE version has three engine options: two 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engines and a 1.5-litre diesel, with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, for the Dark Edition—which is expected to be based on the higher-spec trims—Tata is likely to offer only the more powerful 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel.

The TGDi engine produces 123bhp and 225Nm, while the diesel unit delivers 116bhp and 260Nm. Both variants are expected to retain the choice of manual and DCT gearboxes.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Expected Price

The Dark Edition is expected to fetch a higher price tag compared to the standard Curvv, which currently ranges from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 19.20 lakh for the petrol/diesel variants and Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh for the EV (ex-showroom).
