Tata Curvv EV SeriesX gets a 55kWh battery with a claimed range of 502 km, making it a good option in India’s electric SUV space.

Tata Motors has launched the Curvv.ev SeriesX in India, and this one feels like a proper rethink of the lineup. Introduced under TATA.ev, the big talking point is the 55kWh Tata Curvv EV now starting at Rs 16.99 lakh with the Accomplished X 55. The Empowered X 55 comes in at Rs 19.19 lakh, while the Dark Edition is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh. There is also a new Nitro Crimson shade, and yes, it is the kind of colour that stands out in traffic.
The real shift here is pricing. Earlier, you had to spend over Rs 19 lakh to get the 55kWh Curvv EV. Now, Tata has brought that bigger battery within reach, and interestingly, it is Rs 50,000 cheaper than the 45kWh Creative variant. More range for less money is not something you hear often, and it makes the Curvv EV a more sensible pick if range matters to you.

The Accomplished X 55 keeps things straightforward but well sorted. You get a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 360-degree camera with blind-spot view is also included, which genuinely helps in city traffic. Inside, the R-Comfort seats with passive ventilation and rear sunshades make daily drives feel a bit more relaxed, especially in stop-go conditions.
Move to the Empowered X 55, and the feature list grows in a useful way. It adds active ventilation for the front seats, a powered driver seat, and reclining rear seats. The larger 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen with a JBL nine-speaker system improves the cabin experience. You also get Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions, 18-inch wheels, and Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Vehicle support, which adds some real-world usability.
| Tata Curvv EV SeriesX Persona | Price in Ex-showroom |
| Accomplished X 55 | Rs 16.99 lakh |
| Empowered X 55 | Rs 19.19 lakh |
| Empowered X 55 #DARK | Rs 19.49 lakh |
The powered tailgate and lighting animations are the kind of extras you do not really need, but you will probably enjoy using them anyway. This variant feels aimed at buyers who want a bit more tech and convenience without jumping to a different segment or price bracket.
The Tata Curvv EV SeriesX uses a motor producing around 165bhp and 215Nm, based on Tata’s acti.ev platform. The 55kWh battery is rated for 502km, while real-world range should be closer to 400km depending on how you drive. Charging from 10 to 100 per cent takes about 7.6 hours using a 7.2kW AC charger.
With a DC fast charger, 10 to 80 per cent takes around 40 minutes, which keeps longer drives manageable. Tata Motors is also offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, covering up to 15 years. With this update, the Tata Curvv EV SeriesX feels like a more complete package if you want range, features, and a price that still makes sense.
