Tata Motors will showcase its new Harrier EV Concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 tomorrow, that is, February 1, 2024. The inaugural event is scheduled to take place till February 3 at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, New Delhi. Although official details are awaited, the production-spec Tata Harrier EV will likely go on sale later this year in India. To refresh your memory, the Tata Harrier EV concept was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023, along with the Curvv ICE concept, the Avinya concept, and the Sierra EV concept.

The Harrier EV will be based on Tata's Gen 2 EV architecture, acti.ev, which also underpins the newly launched Tata Punch.ev. The new architecture, in combination with the Omega platform used by the internal combustion engine-powered SUV, will incorporate an all-wheel-drive setup and cabin modifications.

Design-wise, the Tata Harrier EV looks nearly identical to the ICE Harrier SUV; however, it does get some EV-specific elements to make it stand out. Up front, the EV gets a blanked-off grille, the same split headlight setup housing a new set of DRLs, and a reworked bumper with new creases.

In profile, the EV sports distinctive alloy wheels, flush door handles, and ‘.EV’ badging on the fenders. At the rear, it has a redesigned bumper, linked LED tail lamps, and a new LED light bar.

On the inside, expect the five-seater Harrier EV to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology and OTA updates. Other bits will include ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and a 360-degree camera for safety.
