The Tata Nexon Facelift has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8.10 lakh(ex-showroom) in India. According to sales, the Nexon is Tata Motors' best-selling car, and the SUV has brought in considerable profits for the automaker. The updated SUV has finally been launched and is expected to continue being a fruitful product. It now comes in 11 variants: Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S, Fearless+ S, Pure, Pure S, Smart, Smart+, and Smart+ S, and boasts exterior and interior design improvements. In addition, many new feature equipment has been added to the sub-compact SUV. However, regarding market competition, the new Nexon continues to lock horns with the Kia Sonet, the Mahindra XUV300, the Hyundai Venue, and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. As the SUV is finally on sale in India, let's delve into its new design, features, and other specifications.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Exterior and Interior
Tata Motors has updated its sub-compact SUV significantly and lived up to the phrase 'facelift'. The appearance of the new Nexon has been updated with new sequential LED DRLs, revamped bumpers, and bi-functional LED headlamps. With the exception of the new 16-inch alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design, the side profile is unchanged. However, much like the front, the rear has undergone significant alteration and includes a connected taillamp setup along with a new bumper.
A 10.25-inch floating infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a new digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, a new air conditioning panel, a wireless charger, a voice-activated sunroof, height-adjustable and ventilated front seats, and more are included inside the Nexon facelift. In addition, the interior of the vehicle now features a dual-tone purple-black theme.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Powertrain
The powertrain hasn't seen any significant changes. Post the update, the SUV retains the 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113bhp and 260Nm and the 1.2-litre turbocharged gasoline mill with 118bhp and 170Nm. However, the only change is the increased gearbox choices available for the turbo-petrol mill, including a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT. On the other hand, there are two different transmission options for the diesel unit: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT.
