Tata Motors is set to launch the updated Punch EV in India on February 20, 2026, after introducing the facelifted ICE-powered Punch, which is priced from Rs 5.59 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The electric version of the compact SUV went on sale in India in 2024 and is currently priced starting at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). While Tata Motors has not officially confirmed details, the Punch EV Facelift is expected to feature several cosmetic and feature upgrades, including a refreshed front and rear lighting setup and new wheels. Mechanically, however, the specifications are likely to remain unchanged.
The exterior changes on the Punch EV Facelift are expected to be subtle, with most of them focused on the lighting side. The headlamps are likely to get a sharper LED design, while the rear could feature connected LED taillamps. New bumpers and a fresh pair of wheels are also expected.

Inside, Tata may offer a larger 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment screen, a premium Harman Kardon sound system with subwoofer, a panoramic sunroof, and new upholstery options.
The Tata Punch EV comes with two battery options: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The MR variant is powered by a 25kWh battery (80bhp and 114Nm), with a claimed range of 265 kilometres. The LR version, on the other hand, features a larger 35kWh battery (120bhp and 190Nm), and is capable of covering up to 365 kilometres on a single charge. Both versions use a front-wheel-drive layout.
Since its launch in January 2024, the Punch EV has further strengthened Tata’s stronghold in the compact SUV segment. With its competitive pricing and practical features, it continues to be a popular pick for first-time EV buyers and small families seeking an affordable, dependable electric SUV.
