Tata Motors is working on a comprehensive mid-cycle update for the Tata Tiago, and a heavily camouflaged test mule of the same has been seen testing on Indian roads. While the overall silhouette looks the same, the facelift seems to get a sharper front with a sleeker grille, reworked bumper, and updated lighting elements. It also features new taillamps, a revised bumper, and a reworked tailgate. The profile, too, seems to undergo a subtle update with newly designed alloy wheels. Although there’s no official confirmation from Tata Motors, the Tiago facelift is expected to launch somewhere between July and September, commanding a considerable premium over the current model’s Rs 4.57 lakh to Rs 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom) price bracket.

The cabin of the Tiago facelift is not seen in the most recent spy shots. Industry reports, however, indicate towards a noticeable upgrade in upholstery, dashboard layout, and features. The updated model is expected to come equipped with a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, touch-based climate controls, and ambient lighting. That said, the core features from the current model are expected to be retained. As for safety, Tata Motors could enhance the package with a 360-degree camera and up to six airbags.
The upcoming facelift is expected to retain the engine options offered on the current model, including the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and CNG, both paired with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
