Audi launched the latest version of its highly successful sedan – the A6 – today in the Indian market. In its latest avatar the car delivers seven percent more power and five percent better fuel efficiency.

Audi India has decided to spice up its current line-up with the introduction of the Audi A6 Matrix. The new avatar of the highly successful executive sedan is now powered by a new 2-litre TDI engine that produces 190bhp of power delivering the power to the wheels via a new seven-speed S tronic transmission.

The new Audi A6 Matrix is Audi India’s sixth offering to the Indian market after the Audi R8 LMX, Audi RS 7 Sportback, Audi TT Coupé, Audi RS 6 Avant and the Audi Q3. The Audi A6 Matrix weighs 1,830kgs, and has a trunk capacity of 530-litres. Despite being heavy the car touches the 100km/h mark from a standstill in 8.4 seconds. Keeping in mind the safety of the occupants as the most important thing, Audi has studded this car with eight airbags, two of which are dedicated to rear occupants. The car has also been equipped with a top-of-the-line music system which is powered by a 600 watts Bose Surround Sound system.

Commenting on the Audi A6, Mr. Joe King, Head-Audi India, said, “The Audi A6 Matrix sets new standards in innovative technology that makes the sedan even more efficient, more powerful, more intuitive and more sophisticated than ever. The car features Audi Matrix LED headlights, signature Single frame grille, new engine and transmission and an advanced infotainment system along with comprehensive updates to the profile and design. The new Audi A6 Matrix is our sixth launch this year. We have seen increasing demand and success with our launches and are confident of setting new benchmarks for the luxury car industry in India.”

Audi has kept the pricing of the car pretty competitive at Rs. 49,50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi and Mumbai).
