Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Ather Energy will increase the prices of its electric scooters by as much as Rs 3,000 from January 1, 2026. The upcoming price hike will be due to rising global prices of raw materials and key electronic components, as well as currency fluctuations. The company has yet to reveal the specific price hike for individual electric scooter models. With the price increase on the horizon, the month of December is offering an ideal window for customers to purchase a scooter at current rates. The Bengaluru-based EV maker offers the 450 series of performance scooters and the family-friendly Rizta in its portfolio. The 450 series comes fitted with modern features like multi-mode traction control and MagicTwist, and smart connected features including Google Maps, WhatsApp on the dashboard, and seamless call and music management.
The Rizta is also extending Ather’s presence in emerging markets and has recently crossed 2 lakh sales. It comes with multiple battery options, 56 litres of storage, ample floorboard space, a wide, comfortable seat, as well as an array of safety features like SkidControl, Fall Safe, ESS, and theft and tow alerts.

Ather Energy celebrated a major milestone in October this year, rolling out its 5,00,000th scooter, the family-oriented Rizta, from its Hosur plant. In just one year since its launch, the Rizta has contributed to over a third of Ather’s total production.
