Bajaj Auto has announced it sold 4.77 lakh units of two-wheelers and commercial vehicles combined in the previous month, marking an increase of 25% year-on-year.

Bajaj’s two-wheeler sales rose to 4.06 lakh 2Ws in January from 3.28 lakh units in the same month last year, marking a 24% year-on-year growth. The sales in the domestic market increased 25% to 2.15 lakh units from 1.71 lakh units in January 2025, while exports grew by 22% rise to 1.92 lakh units. Commercial vehicles also showed strong demand, with domestic sales increasing 27% year-on-year to 47,248 units from 37,060 units, and exports jumping from 15,567 units to 23,879 units in January 2026, a growth of 53%. Overall, Bajaj sold 71,127 CVs, compared to last year’s 52,627 units, an increase of 35%.

Domestic demand contributed to the success, with a 26% year-on-year increase to 2.62 lakh units from last year’s 2.08 lakh units. Exports also remained strong, and registered a growth of 25%, with 2.16 lakh units, compared to 1.73 lakh units a year earlier.
During April–January 2026, the automaker’s two-wheeler sales in the domestic market edged slightly lower, declining 2% year-on-year to 19.42 lakh units from 19.78 lakh units in the same period last year. In contrast, exports rose 16% to 16.15 lakh units, from 13.89 lakh units sold a year ago. Overall, the two-wheeler sales for the period increased 6% to 35.56 lakh units from 33.67 lakh units.

As for commercial vehicles, the sales demonstrated strong year-to-date growth between April and January 2026. Domestic volumes increased 6% to 4.27 lakh units from 4.04 lakh units sold in the same month last year. Exports also surged 53% to 2.41 lakh units from last year’s 1.58 lakh units. Overall, total commercial vehicle sales rose 19% year-on-year to 6.68 lakh units from 5.62 lakh units sold in January of the previous year.
The combined two-wheeler and commercial vehicle sales for April–January 2026 reached 42.24 lakh units, a rise of 8% from 39.29 lakh units sold in the same period last year. While domestic sales saw a slight decline of 1% to 23.69 lakh units from 23.83 lakh units, exports rose 20% to 18.55 lakh units from 15.46 lakh units sold in January of last year.
