Bentley and Vertu luxury phone partnership

The legendary British luxury car maker, Bentley, has just partnered up with another British company. Vertu is a company known for making luxury smartphones, and together with Bentley the two companies have announced an exclusive five-year partnership to develop a new series of luxury smartphones.

The first Vertu for Bentley phone is planned for launch in October and it will be followed by four further distinctive luxury smartphones, each of which will encompass authentic and iconic Bentley design elements and luxury lifestyle services. The phones will offer a unique experience appealing to the desire of Bentley and Vertu customers for uncompromising performance standards allied with elegant and eye-catching design.

At the car maker's in Crewe, Wolfgang Dürheimer, CEO of Bentley Motors, said, “Bentley’s new partnership with Vertu brings together two world-leading brands defined by their commitment to performance, luxury and customer experience. The collaboration expands Bentley’s luxury range into the cutting-edge world of mobile communications and offers customers a new way to experience the world of Bentley."

The price of the phone and its full specifications have not been announced yet, but Vertu has a history of offering very high priced phones, which more often than not do not have the high performance specifications one would imagine a luxury smartphone to have.
