Bharat-Benz launches MD IN-Power truck range

Daimler India has launched four new Bharat-Benz medium duty trucks with higher payload capacity, improved efficiency, switchable driving modes etc. 

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles – Daimler Group’s commercial vehicles arm in India - has launched a new range of Bharat-Benz trucks in the country. Called the MD IN-Power, the newly launched series comprises four new medium duty trucks, namely - 914R, 1214R, 1214RE and 1217C. All the models will be offered in two variants- base and premium – across BharatBenz dealerships in India.

According to Daimler, the new MD IN-Power range is developed keeping in mind customer requirements while also giving the clients a value-for-money proposition. The trucks are equipped with Multi Drive Mode (MDM) which allows drivers to optimize engine settings either for urban traffic or highway trucking with the push of a button.

Additionally, the MD IN-Power range comes with higher payload capacity, improved fuel efficiency, higher service intervals, radial tyres etc. The company also claims the trucks to have better low-end torque. The new range of medium duty trucks is available in BS-III, BS-IV and are Euro-V ready (nevermind the fact that India will skip Euro-V norms and jump directly to Euro-VI in 2020!)
