BMW India sold 11,978 cars overall in the first nine months (January to September) of 2025, marking a 13% growth compared to the same period last year. BMW cars alone registered a 14% increase, with sales rising to 11,510 units, from 10,056 units in 2024. Mini, on the other hand, recorded a 6.40% decline, selling 468 units versus 500 units last year. In the two-wheeler segment, BMW Motorrad experienced a sharp 29.48% drop to 3,976 units. For reference, 5,638 BMW bikes were sold between January to September in 2024. In total, BMW India recorded sales of 15,954 units, reflecting a slight decline of 1.48% year-on-year compared to 16,194 units during the same period last year.
The German automaker sold a total of 5,611 units in India last month, registering a 2.35% year-on-year growth compared to 5,482 units sold in Q3 2024. While the BMW cars and SUVs dominated the sales with 4,033 units, reflecting a strong 21% increase over last year’s 3,322 units. Mini also contributed with 171 units, a growth of 25.74% from 136 units in the same quarter of 2024.

In total, BMW recorded car sales of 4,204 units, a 21% growth over the previous year. However, BMW Motorrad faced a decline, with motorcycle sales falling 30.48% to 1,407 units, down from 2,024 in Q3 2024.
BMW India’s sales performance in 2025 was supported by surging demand for electric vehicles and premium models. The company sold 2,509 BMW and Mini EVs in the first nine months, marking an impressive 246% year-on-year growth. The sales of Long Wheelbase variants soared by 169%, while Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) registered a strong 19% increase.

As far as top performers are concerned, the BMW X1, 3 Series, and 7 Series saw the highest demand in their segments, while in the two-wheeler space, the G 310 RR and the R 1300 GS were the most sought-after motorcycles.
