Citroen eC3 Electric Hatchback Prices Hiked by up to Rs 25,000 in India

The Citroen eC3, which was launched in February 2023, is the electric version of the C3 hatchback and is available in two trim levels: Live and Feel. The electric model has received a hike of up to Rs 25,000. Except for the Live variant, all other versions have received a uniform price hike.

The French automobile manufacturer Citroen recently hiked the prices of its electric hatchback – the eC3 – in India. The Citroen eC3 arrived on the Indian shores in February this year. It is essentially an electrified version of the company's popular C3 hatchback and is available in two distinct variants – Live and Feel. The price of the electric model in the nation has now increased by up to Rs 25,000, according to the carmaker. It is important to note that all other versions, excluding the Live variant, have received a consistent price increase of Rs 25,000. In terms of competition, the eC3 rivals the likes of the Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV in the Indian market and is a reasonable alternative to models such as the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV. Citroen eC3: Updated Prices

As mentioned above, all variants have seen a price increase of Rs 25,000, with the exception of the Live variant.

Citroen eC3: Battery, Range, and Charging Time

The Citroen eC3's 29.2kWh battery pack powers a front axle-mounted electric motor, which has a maximum output of 56bhp and a peak torque of 143Nm, allowing the eC3 to have a top speed of 107km/h. The Citroen eC3 offers two charging options – a 3.3kW onboard AC charger with CCS2 fast charging capability and a DC fast charger, which can charge the battery pack from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 57 minutes. The eC3 may also be charged at home, where a full charge from 10 per cent to 100 per cent takes 10.5 hours. The Citroen eC3 also features two driving modes – Eco and Standard – regenerative braking and has a claimed range of 320 kilometres, according to ARAI.

Citroen eC3: Features

Like the ICE version of the C3, the eC3 EV is offered in two trim levels – Live and Feel. With a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker audio system, and a height-adjustable driver's seat, the higher-spec Feel variant is similar to the petrol variant in terms of features. The MyCitroen Connect app also equips the eC3 with connected car technologies. It contains 35 smart functions that let you monitor the owner's car's charging status, location, driving pattern, and the exact location of the nearest charging station. Furthermore, it also gets ABS with EBD and dual airbags.
