Hyundai Motor India has released its sales data for July 2023. The carmaker's Indian arm managed to sell 50,701 cars last month, but its sales are still flat year over year. The firm sold 50,701 units in the country in July 2023, growing sales by just 0.4 per cent YoY and 1.4 per cent MoM. In comparison to June of this year, when the company sold 50,001 units, its domestic sales in July 2022 were 50,500 units. Speaking of exports, the South Korean automaker shipped 16,000 units last month, a nearly 20 per cent increase from the 13,351 units shipped in July 2022. Commenting on the latest sales figures, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “July 2023 marks a significant milestone in Hyundai Motor India’s journey in India. Our Domestic July Sales volume of 50 000 plus units is backed by a strong SUV portfolio. This has been bolstered by the addition of Hyundai Exter to an already strong SUV line-up led by brands like Creta, Venue, Venue N-Line, Tucson, Alcazar, Kona Electric and all-electric SUV Ioniq 5. With the semiconductor supply issues more or less behind us, we are all geared up for the upcoming festive season in India starting with Onam in Kerala.”
