Deepika Padukone Joins Shahrukh Khan As Hyundai India's Brand Ambassador

Hyundai India believes that its partnership with Deepika Padukone will reinforce its brand image while inspiring the next generation of automotive enthusiasts.

Deepika Padukone, a well-known Bollywood actress, has been designated as Hyundai Motor India's brand ambassador. With this, Deepika becomes the face of the South Korean brand's Indian subsidiary with Shahrukh Khan, the country's heartthrob. For those unaware, Superstar Shahrukh has been endorsing Hyundai in our market since 1998. In 2020, he became the first Indian owner of a Hyundai Creta. Recently, on the occasion of the sales milestone of the all-electric Ioniq 5, he took delivery of its 1,100th unit.

The electrified Ioniq 5 SUV in India comes with a plethora of features such as a dual integrated 12.3-inch display configuration (for infotainment as well as the driver's display), a panoramic sunroof, Six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). It has a 72.6kWh battery pack and a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels and produces 214bhp and 350Nm.

With the appointment of Deepika Padukone as its Brand Ambassador, Hyundai has strengthened its image in the Indian auto industry. The company is confident that this new partnership will help it build a strong connection with the progressive and dynamic audience.

Hyundai Creta Facelift India Launch On the Cards?

Hyundai is anticipated to launch the facelift version of the Creta on January 16 in India. The upcoming Hyundai SUV will presumably feature a lot of inside and exterior changes, which could result in a price tag that is more than the present model's — Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the facelift is anticipated to come with a more potent new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit that can produce approximately 159bhp. The previous two engine options — 1.5-liter diesel and normally-aspirated petrol engines will remain available.
