Honda has reached a new milestone in India, delivering over 50,000 cars equipped with its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Honda SENSING. This reflects the brand’s global vision of “Safety for Everyone” and its goal of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050. Honda introduced Honda SENSING in India with the launch of the Honda City e:HEV in May 2022, the country’s first mainstream strong hybrid electric vehicle with advanced safety features. Honda has introduced ADAS in multiple models, starting with the Honda City in March 2023, followed by the Elevate in September 2023. Most recently, the all-new third-generation Amaze, launched in December 2024, became India's most affordable car with ADAS, making advanced safety features more accessible.

Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing and Sales said: 'At Honda Cars India, safety is at the core of everything we do. Achieving the milestone of 50,000 ADAS-enabled vehicles on Indian roads reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing safety for all. This achievement not only aligns with our global safety vision but also demonstrates the growing preference and acceptance of Indian consumers to advanced driver assistance technologies. Every day, we are working to make our vehicles safer by continuously improving both active and passive safety features, ensuring that we offer a secure driving experience for everyone.'

Honda SENSING uses a front wide-angle camera with advanced detection technology to identify road markings, boundaries, and obstacles. The system provides driver alerts and can take automatic action to reduce collision risks.

Key features of Honda SENSING include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), and Auto High-Beam (AHB). These technologies enhance road safety and driving convenience.
