The Hyundai Creta has crossed 2 lakh sales in India during 2025, and that is a serious number in today’s crowded SUV space. For the first time, the mid-size SUV has achieved this figure within a single calendar year. Spread across 362 selling days, the Creta averaged around 550 units a day, which shows how steady demand has been across cities and smaller towns alike. There are no sudden spikes or festive-only surges here, just consistent showroom footfall. For a model that has been around for a while, holding this rhythm shows how strong its demand remains in everyday Indian riding and driving conditions.

In the mid-size SUV segment, the Creta continues to lead with a market share of over 34 per cent. It also tops cumulative sales between 2020 and 2025. Even as competition has increased, the Creta has managed to hold its ground and stay ahead.

2025 also marks ten years since the Creta was launched in India in 2015. Hyundai reports a compound annual growth rate of over nine per cent between 2016 and 2025. The buyer mix has changed over time too. First-time buyers made up 13 per cent of customers in 2020, and this number has grown to 32 per cent in 2025, showing the model’s wider reach.

Sales data from 2025 highlights buyer preferences clearly. Sunroof-equipped variants account for over 70 per cent of total sales. Diesel engines contribute 44 per cent of the volume, while petrol and electric versions fill in the rest. It points to balanced demand across powertrains, depending on usage and driving needs.
