Sharing his thoughts on the latest sales figures, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India said, “As we enter the peak of festive season in India, Hyundai Motor India registered robust sales number of 55,128 units in the domestic market in the month of October. The recent announcement of standardizing 6 airbags across all Hyundai models and variants has been extremely well received by our valued customers. Also, the supply situation is back to full normalcy.” Meanwhile, here are some of the recent developments from the South Korean auto giant.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Venue, and More Now Get 6 Airbags as Standard

Last month, Hyundai confirmed that several models from its portfolio including the Grand i10 Nios, the Venue, the Alcazar, and the Aura, will now come equipped with six airbags as standard. The announcement was made following the new Verna's GNCAP crash tests, where the sedan earned a perfect 5-star safety rating. With six airbags now standard on all of its models sold in the nation, Hyundai is the only car company in the nation to offer this feature. Dual front airbags, two side airbags, and two curtain airbags are among the six airbags that are now standard equipment on every Hyundai vehicle. With this upgrade, the Grand i10 Nios is currently the most reasonably priced vehicle with this capability available in our market.

Hyundai also stated in October that it would be sending its products for the Bharat NCAP crash tests, although it withheld the model names.
