Hyundai seems to be working on a mid-life update for the Exter, as a heavily camouflaged prototype has been sighted undergoing road tests in India. While the heavy wraps keep most details under cover, subtle revisions to the front are evident, likely including a redesigned grille and a reprofiled bumper.

The side panels appear largely unchanged, indicating minor alterations at best. At the rear, however, updates could include a redesigned tailgate, new rectangular taillamp elements, and a reworked bumper.
While the upcoming update is likely to focus largely on visual enhancements, the refreshed Hyundai Exter is expected to retain its existing mechanical setup, which includes a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder Kappa naturally aspirated petrol engine with 82bhp and 113.8Nm.
