Hyundai's total sales for February 2025 stood at 58,727 units, reflecting a 2.93% decrease from the 60,501 units sold in February of the previous year. Domestic sales reached 47,727 units, reflecting a 4.93% YoY decline. However, international shipments showed positive growth, totalling 11,000 units with a 6.8% growth, highlighting the brand’s strong performance in global markets. Hyundai's diverse lineup in India includes popular models like the Grand i10 Nios, i20, Aura, Verna, Exter, Venue, and Alcazar. The Creta remains one of the company’s top-selling SUVs, with an electric version introduced earlier this year. The prices for the Creta Electric range from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.37 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom).

Commenting on HMIL sales, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director, and Chief Operating Officer, of Hyundai Motor India Limited said, ‘With a 6.8% YoY growth in export sales in February 2025, we are witnessing increasing global demand for our Made-in-India products, reflecting Hyundai’s strong acceptance worldwide.’

He further added ‘By optimising exports, we will continue to reinforce HMIL’s position as a key export hub for Hyundai Motor Company. On the Domestic Sales front, despite geopolitical challenges, we remain optimistic that the proposed tax reforms in the Union Budget 2025 and improved liquidity will provide the much-needed demand boost to the market.’

Other Highlights

Hyundai has expanded the model lineup of the Creta SUV with two new variants: EX(O) and SX Premium. The EX(O) variant, beginning at Rs 12.97 lakh, offers a panoramic sunroof and LED reading lamps, with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options and 6-speed manual or CVT transmissions. The SX Premium variant, starting at Rs 16.18 lakh, includes ventilated front seats, a Bose 8-speaker sound system, leather upholstery, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The SX Premium variant of the Creta offers a choice between a 6-speed manual or CVT for the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine is available exclusively with the manual transmission.
