In terms of exports, Hyundai recorded volumes falling by 10.6% to 13,940 units year-on-year. Domestic sales stood at 1.67 lakh units, an increase of 8.48% from the previous year’s 1.54 lakh units, while exports grew to 41,697 units, marking a growth of 9.44% over 38,100 units in Q1 2025.
The carmaker’s positive performance across the majority of segments highlights the strong acceptance and reliability of its products in the Indian market. The diverse portfolio, which ranges from hatchbacks like the Grand i10 Nios to the i20, SUVs such as the Venue, Creta, Alcazar, and EVs like the Ioniq 5, is one of the factors behind the growing appeal of the brand in India’s crowded car segment. The Hyundai Creta is one of the brand’s best-selling models, which has consistently driven volumes in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. It is available in both ICE and electric options.
