Kia has announced it sold 27,603 units overall in January, registering a growth of 10.3% over the 25,025 units sold in the same month last year. The success is attributed to the enthusiastic market response to the new-gen Kia Seltos, prices of which currently start at Rs 10.99 lakh and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Kia has also credited the continued momentum of the Sonet, along with steady demand for the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV, as key drivers of its strong performance in January 2026.
Commenting on the monthly performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, 'The encouraging start to 2026 reflects the continued trust customers place in the Kia brand. The positive response to the new-generation Seltos, steady demand for the Sonet, and growing popularity of the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV, underline the strength and balance of our portfolio.'
He also added, 'This performance reinforces our focus on offering well-differentiated, future-ready products across segments, while consistently enhancing the overall ownership experience.'
The new-generation Seltos is now more closely aligned with the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. It is underpinned by a Global K3 platform, and is now more comfort- and tech-oriented. Key exterior highlights are Kia Digital Tiger Face, A Black High-Gloss Grille, Side Door Garnish with Body-Colour Accents, and 18-Inch Crystal-Cut Alloy Wheels with Neon Callipers.

Inside, the SUV has seen the most notable upgrade in the form of a command-centric trinity panoramic display. It is also equipped with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a 64-colour ambient, and two 12.3-inch displays flanking a 5-inch central touchscreen dedicated to climate control. The boot space has increased from 433 litres to 447 litres. That said, the India-spec new Kia Seltos carries forward the same engine lineup (a 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5‑litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5‑litre diesel).
