Kia sold 29,112 units in the month of March, representing a growth of 14.5% from 25,525 units sold in the same month last year. The updated Seltos emerged as the main contributor to the success.

Kia India has announced its highest-ever sales of 29,112 units for the month of March 2026, representing a rise of 14.5% from last year’s 25,525 units. As for quarterly performance, the carmaker stated that its Q1 2026 sales reached 84,316 units, marking an increase of 11.6% from 75,576 units sold in the same period last year. Kia’s positive growth across key segments is supported by a well-rounded portfolio that comprises ICE and EVs such as the Sonet, Seltos, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and EV9.

The new Seltos, backed by its 5-star BNCAP rating, continues to lead momentum, while the Sonet and Carens line-up remain steady volume drivers with continuous enhancements aligned to evolving customer needs.'
The updated Seltos remains one of the best performers, recording over 10,000 units in monthly sales since its launch. It recently attained a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The SUV achieved 31.70 points out of a maximum 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 45 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection. It was tested in HTE (O) and GTX trims. As for safety, Kia has equipped the new Seltos with Level-2 ADAS with 21 autonomous features, ISOFIX mounts, ESC, six airbags, and seat belt reminders.

The Sonet also continues to be a key volume driver for the brand in the compact SUV segment. It offers automatic gearbox options across both petrol and diesel variants at a starting price below Rs 10 lakh. The Carens lineup experienced consistent demand.
For 2026, Kia has added GT-Line and X-Line variants on the larger 51.4kWh battery version of the Carens Clavis EV. A new 6-seater layout with captain seats in the second row has also been introduced.
