Kia India posted domestic sales of 22,700 units in September 2025, which is a healthy 15.8% month-on-month growth compared to August’s 19,608 units. The company’s performance was slightly down 3.5% year-on-year, falling short of the 23,523 units sold in September 2024. The revision in GST rates across various vehicle categories, combined with the festive season, has significantly boosted consumer interest in Kia’s range, which includes models like the Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival. All of these cars are widely known for their blend of advanced technology, comfort, and best-in-class features.
Kia’s month-on-month sales growth of 3,000+ units underscores the brand’s approach to leveraging GST revisions and seasonal consumer trends during the festive sales window.
Though September saw a slight year-on-year dip, the company’s overall performance remained impressive. Year-to-date sales reached 2.07 lakh units, up 7.2% from 1.93 lakh units during the same period last year. Additionally, 65,460 units were sold in Q2 FY26, reflecting flat growth compared to 65,330 units in Q2 FY25. On the export front, Kia sold 2,606 vehicles in September 2025.
Kia announced last month that it will pass on the entire benefit of the latest GST cut to buyers starting September 22, 2025. The price reduction covers the entire internal combustion engine lineup, with the Carnival receiving the largest cut of up to Rs 4.49 lakh. The Carens sees a modest price drop of Rs 48,513, while the Carens Clavis and Syros see reductions of Rs 78,674 and Rs 1.86 lakh, respectively.

The most recent price cuts, coinciding with the festive period, are set to attract more buyers and boost demand for popular Kia models like the Sonet, Seltos, and Carnival. The strategic pricing will help Kia stand out amid fierce competition by offering greater value to Indian customers.
