KTM’s parent company has entered a new chapter as Pierer Mobility AG has officially changed its name to Bajaj Mobility AG. This change follows Bajaj Auto completing its full takeover of the group in late 2025. The new name reflects the ownership structure and sets a clear direction for the group going forward. With Bajaj now fully in control, the focus shifts to how this partnership shapes product plans, racing programmes and global strategy. It also signals a reset at the corporate level, while the core motorcycle brands continue business as usual for riders worldwide.

The Pierer Mobility name now exits the picture after Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV secured complete ownership of the group. The decision to rename the company was taken in November 2025 and has since been recorded in Austria’s commercial register. With this step complete, the transition from the earlier ownership phase is now formal and visible.

Bajaj Mobility AG continues as the holding company for the KTM Group. It oversees KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS. The group headquarters have moved to Mattighofen in Austria, and a new corporate logo has been introduced as part of the rebrand.

This reorganisation comes after a period of financial pressure and internal changes at KTM. Bajaj Auto has positioned the takeover as a step to stabilise operations and bring all brands under a single global structure. The key question now is how this backing supports future motorcycles and motorsport efforts.

Alongside the rebrand, Bajaj Mobility AG has announced a rightsizing programme at KTM AG. Around 500 jobs will be cut, mainly in white-collar and middle management roles. This follows an internal restructuring completed in 2025 and is aimed at managing costs and keeping the focus on the core motorcycle business.
