Mahindra has announced that its total sales crossed the 1 lakh mark in September, showing a 16% year-on-year growth, including exports. The Utility Vehicle segment continued to dominate, with 56,233 units sold in the domestic market, marking a 10% growth. However, the total sales reached 58,714 units, including exports. In terms of year-to-date performance through September, Mahindra has sold 2.98 lakh passenger vehicles domestically, marking a 14% increase over the 2.60 lakh units sold during the same period last fiscal. Exports have also seen positive growth, with September shipments rising 43% to 4,320 units, and cumulative ones for the fiscal year so far reaching 20,303 units, up 38% from 14,680 units a year ago. The Commercial Vehicles segment continues to perform strongly as well, with domestic sales climbing 18% to 26,728 units.
According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., 'In September, we achieved SUV sales of 56,233 units, a growth of 10%, and total vehicle sales of 100,298 units, a 16% growth compared to the same month last year.

Thanks to the impetus from GST 2.0 and the preceding weeks’ pent-up demand, we have seen robust growth in dealer reported customer retail during the first nine days of Navratri*, with over 60% growth in the SUV segment and over 70% growth in the CV segment compared to the first nine days of Navratri last year. The surge in festive demand has placed significant constraints on the availability of trailers. We are working to improve dispatches to our dealer network within the constraints.'
Mahindra has taken a proactive approach to the revised GST 2.0 framework by announcing significant price cuts across its SUV lineup in India. Effective September 6, 2025, the updated pricing reflects Mahindra’s decision to immediately pass on the benefits of the new tax structure to customers, even before the official rollout date of September 22.

Depending on the model, prices have been reduced by up to Rs 1.56 lakh, making popular SUVs like the Bolero, Scorpio-N, and Thar notably more affordable. The move positions Mahindra as one of the first automakers to act on the new GST regime, highlighting its customer-first strategy and giving it an early edge in the market.
